April Wrap-Up

Blogging is a great hobby. It is satisfying to recommend books that readers might not discover otherwise. It is also a special privilege to be entrusted with an advanced copy of a book to review. I appreciate the opportunity to offer potential readers a reason to look forward to a book’s release. However, at times if feels like a stressful, unpaid job—complete with deadlines, behind the scenes logistics, and unrealistic expectations of myself. It’s the reason I came up with my list of 2017 Reading Goals. Despite my good intentions, I was beginning to feel burned out. Read More

That’s a Wrap! March 2017

We’re halfway through April, and I still haven’t posted my March wrap-up yet. *Hangs head in shame while being carted off to bloggers’ jail.* March saw me reading a bit of everything: from romantic comedy to contemporary fiction; one star books to five-star reads. I also tried to stick with my 2017 Reading Goals. It’s time for another Reading Goals checkup, but first here’s a list books reviewed in March 2017.

That’s a Wrap! February 2017

Real life definitely slowed down my reading progress this past month, but I’ve read more books and written more reviews than I’ve had time to post here. I admit I’ve been in a bit of a book slump lately, so I need motivation to stay on schedule. Nonetheless, I’m determined to keep my 2017 Reading Goals. Read on to check out the good, bad, and ugly status of my goals, plus a wrap-up of books reviewed on the blog in February.

I think I read almost every sub-genre of romance last month: romantic suspense, sports romance, enemies to lovers, romantic comedy, contemporary, YA, and erotica. Novellas and tearjerkers were also part of the mix. In case you missed it, here’s a recap of the books reviewed in December 2016.

I’m posting That’s a Wrap later than I’d hoped this month, but I still wanted to give you a recap of the books reviewed in October 2016. There were no 5 star books for me last month, but Beard Science by Penny Reid came awfully close.

Better Late Than Never. That’s a Wrap! September 2016

I know I’m late in posting my monthly wrap up. I’ll be honest. Real life (RL) has been kicking me in the rear lately, so I’m playing catch up with blogging. Here’s a recap of the books I reviewed in September, including three 5-star reads. October 2016 has some exciting releases I’m looking forward to reading!

That’s a Wrap! August 2016

August was a busy, busy month. Blogging took a back seat to real life while I sent my oldest daughter off to college and got the younger ones ready to start school again. I reached my Goodreads 2016 reading goal of 100 books though, so go, me! I read two 5-star books: It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover and After I Do by Taylor Jenkins Reid. In case you missed it, here are the books reviewed on the blog in August 2016. As always, feel free to follow me on Goodreads.
