What could possibly go wrong fake dating the gorgeous single dad in a small town?

The answer, you fall for him.

It started out perfect. Grady Whitlock needed a plus one for his business meetings, and I needed a date for a wedding.

We had a plan. It was a good one.

Until it wasn’t.

I was not supposed to have feelings for him. I was not going to let my heart race when his soulful blue eyes stared into mine. No way should I have noticed his smile or the dimple on his right cheek or his strong arms when he held me close. I especially wasn’t going to melt when I saw him play with my daughter.

Most of all I was not going to sleep with him.

Nope. None of that was supposed to happen, but it does.

Now I find myself dreaming of him every night. Wishing we were really a couple because the way he kisses me doesn’t feel as if it’s pretend.

But we’ve both watched our dreams shatter, and I can’t handle another broken heart.

Raising children is hard, and nobody is more deserving of happiness than people who are raising children alone. Broken Dreams hit my romantic soft spot since it features not one but two single parents finding love the second time around.

Review: You Loved Me Once by Corinne Michaels

Review: You Loved Me Once by Corinne Michaels

You Loved Me Once is one big angst fest, but I was in the mood for a little drama and boy did it deliver. Serenity, a gynecologic oncologist with severe abandonment issues, can’t commit to her neurosurgeon lover and colleague, Westin. He is a real catch. I found it hard to believe that Westin would stick around for a nearly 3-year-long friends with benefits arrangement when he clearly wants more from their relationship. He is unbelievably patient, but you get the sense that it’s wearing thin. There are plenty of other women waiting in the wings. Serenity is an incredibly compassionate and confident doctor but so indecisive when it comes to Wes that I was never quite sure of the strength of her feelings for him. This one kept me guessing about whether she would let herself love Westin before losing this man who sincerely loves her, or if she would go down a destructive path. When you add in ethical dilemmas and the difficult subject matter of cancer, my stomach was tied in knots throughout. I didn’t care for the past meets present aspect of the story. The significance was lost on me and I was confused as to why […]
