To sum up The Lost Fisherman: It’s not what I thought it would be. And that’s a good thing. After reading book one, The Naked Fisherman, I had all sorts of notions about where the conclusion of Reese and Fisher’s story was heading. Little did I know how wrong I was.
The Naked Fisherman is yet another entirely unique story by Jewel E. Ann, filled with flawed and complicated characters. The beginning of the book is rather lighthearted, so I was quite surprised by how emotional it actually is.
Break out your fans, ladies and gents, because erotic Marni Mann is back and naughtier than ever. Good Lawd! The Lawyer is one smoking hot book, and there’s no bangxiety. You get the good stuff starting right at chapter one. I would have appreciated a bit more social foreplay before the main characters’ one night stand, but maybe that’s just me.
There are many promising aspects to this friends-to-lovers story, but the last portion of the book just didn’t do it for me.
Totally Folked is the first book in the Good Folk: Modern Folktales series, and it took me completely by surprise in the best possible way. The first book in a series usually sets the tone, and Totally Folked is far more entertaining than I expected.
Exposed is another feather in Kristen Callihan’s cap. It’s the fourth book in her rock star romance series, and it well and truly satisfied my craving for more. We’re not only reunited with all the band members of Kill John and their significant others, but we get a love story for Rye, the bassist.
Deputy Sheriff Jackson James has been on the fringes of many Winston Brothers stories. He’s always seemed like such a great guy and has missed out on love, so when I heard he was getting his own book, Totally Folked, I was more than a little excited. Just Folking Around is the novella prequel. It’s a bit of a tease; an appetizer; an amuse bouche, if you will; a small taste of things to come. Spicy sexytimes things, if this book is any indication.
I kind of love that antsy feeling I get from forbidden office romances. While not my favorite baseball book of Meghan Quinn’s, I did appreciate the tension and the high stakes in The Perfect Catch. I’m torn between giving the book 3.5 or 4 stars.
Kennedy Ryan’s books have the power to not only entertain but to educate, and the same is true for Reel. I’ve been drawn to the arts my entire life, so I especially enjoyed this story that takes the reader on an emotional behind the scenes journey from Broadway to Hollywood.

Getting a 5-star review from me these days is like drawing water from a stone. For Lucy, though, had me captivated from Chapter One, and I knew in my soul that I was on the road to 5 stars.
After reading People We Meet on Vacation, one thing is clear: I need a getaway, stat. I was left with a smile on my face and a dozen travel destination tabs open on my browser by the end of the book.
