Nothing ventured, nothing banged...

Ash
I still don't know how it happened. One minute I was arguing with my arrogant competitor--our usual trash-talk over who deserves the larger commission. But somehow I went from throwing down to kneeling down... It can never happen again. I don't even like Braht. He's too slick. He's a manipulating mansplaining party boy in preppy clothes. So why can't I get him out of my head?

Braht
There are two things I know without question. One: Ash and I are destined for each other. Two: never trust a man with a unibrow .Ash is my missing my piece. She's the sweet cream to my gourmet espresso. And nothing gets me going faster than her contempt for me. They don't call her the Ashkicker for nothing. Eventually I'll win her over...if my past doesn't ruin everything first.

Review: The Understatement of the Year

Review: The Understatement of the Year

November 22, 2017 Angela LGBTQ, Reviews, Romance, Sports Romance

Go ahead and place another tick mark in Sarina Bowen’s “winner” column. If you’ve ever been curious about reading M/M romance, The Understatement of the Year makes an excellent introduction to the genre. It’s a college sports romance that focuses predominately on relationships and emotional intimacy rather than overly explicit sexual activity. It’s more like M/M light, if you will.

Review: Bountiful by Sarina Bowen

Review: Bountiful by Sarina Bowen

November 6, 2017 Angela Reviews, Romance

Sarina Bowen’s True North series is consistently refreshing. All the books take place in the same sleepy Vermont farming town. While they involve interconnecting characters, each book is a standalone with a distinctly different feel. Bountiful is like a warm fuzzy blanket. It’s a cozy romance featuring a bartender/barista/baker, a baby, and a babe.

Review: Good Boy by Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy

Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy have proven once again that they are a formidable writing team. Put them together and you get magical storytelling that warms your heart and assails you with humor. Good Boy is the first book in the M/F WAGs series, which is a spinoff of the M/M Him series. WAGs is an acronym for wives and girlfriends of professional athletes, in case you didn’t know.

Review: Keepsake by Sarina Bowen

November 5, 2016 Angela Reviews, Romance

Keepsake is the third standalone novel in the True North series. With each book I fall more and more in love with the Shipley family, life on the Shipley farm, the Shipleys’ friends—basically anything Shipley related. I’ve been curious about farmhand Zach, and now we finally get his story.

Review: Steadfast by Sarina Bowen

Review: Steadfast by Sarina Bowen

Sarina Bowen’s True North series is a breath of fresh air. There are no millionaires, superstar athletes, models, or rock stars. You won’t find people returning from the dead, love triangles, or emotional roller coasters. It’s simply an enjoyable series with down-to-earth, working class characters that warm your heart. Steadfast moves into heavier territory with a believable story about drug addiction and second chances.
