Planning the perfect prom is one last “to do” on ultra-organized Charlotte Wu’s high school bucket list. So far, so good, if not for a decorating accident that sends Charlotte crash-landing off a ladder, face-first into her obnoxiously ripped archnemesis J. T. Renner. Worse? When Charlotte wakes up, she finds herself in an unfamiliar bed at thirty years old, with her bearded fiancé, Renner, by her side.

Either they’ve lost their minds or they’ve been drop-kicked into adulthood, forever trapped in the thirty-year-old bodies of their future selves. With each other as their only constant, Charlotte and Renner discover all that’s changed in the time they’ve missed. Charlotte also learns there’s more to Renner than irritating-jock charm, and that reaching the next milestone isn’t as important as what happens in between.

Navigating a series of adventures and a confounding new normal, Charlotte and Renner will do whatever it takes to find a way back to seventeen. But when―and if―they do, what then?

Well, wasn’t this absolutely adorable? 13 Going on 30 is one of those rom coms I never get tired of watching, and Woke Up Like This is reminiscent of that film, only instead of middle school friends, the protagonists are two high school seniors who are enemies.

Audiobook Review: Call Me Maybe by Cara Bastone

Audiobook Review: Call Me Maybe by Cara Bastone

Call Me Maybe is the perfect pick-me-up, and it’s presented in the most creative way. This Audible Original audiobook is more like an aural theatrical production than a traditional audiobook—brought to life with fantastic vocal performances by Luci Christian and Neil Hellegers, and with sound effects as well. When Vera is driving, you hear cars whizzing past. A text being composed is followed by the familiar “whoosh” of the text being sent. They’re eating dinner, and you can hear the sound of utensils clinking against dishes. You get the picture.

89 pages packed full of perfection! One More Round is like one big nuanced and completely satisfying epilogue to Caroline and Simon’s love story. It’s been at least five years since I read the books that made me a fan so some of the details were fuzzy, but this novella does a superb job interweaving key highlights without it sounding like mundane exposition.

Audiobook Review ♥ Heidi’s Guide to Four Letter Words by Tara Sivec & Andi Arndt

Heidi’s Guide to Four Letter Words is the delightful love child of Tara Sivec and Andi Arndt. Tara has enticed me with her wicked sense of humor in previous books, and Andi is one of my favorite audiobook narrators. Who better, then, to bring us a romantic comedy about a virtuous small town gal and her inadvertent erotica podcast?
