Review ♥ First Debt by Pepper Winters

Review ♥ First Debt by Pepper Winters

I know, I know. I gave a rather scathing review of Debt Inheritance, so why on Earth did I read First Debt? Apparently I’m a glutton for punishment because I decided to give this book a chance when I saw it was available at the library. I figured I had nothing to lose except maybe some of my precious reading time, because…free. Oh, and it was the audio book version so…bonus!

Review ♥ The Butterfly Project by Emma Scott

Review ♥ The Butterfly Project by Emma Scott

March 16, 2017 Angela New Adult, Reviews, Romance

I liked this story about perseverance, acceptance, and forgiveness. You have two people burdened with guilt: one who is desperate for a chance at redemption; the other who accepts his life of hardship as penance. Zelda and Beckett are quite similar. In addition to living under a cloud of regret, they are both completely broke (and broken) and basically alone in NYC. After a chance meeting, they decide to join forces in a mutually beneficial financial arrangement.

Review ♥ If You Were Mine by Melanie Harlow

I’m just going to rip this Band Aid off. Although I am terribly fond of Melanie Harlow, I was decidedly underwhelmed by If You Were Mine. The story of a perpetually lonely single woman hiring a handsome yet emotionally wounded man to be her wedding date appealed to me. I was fully onboard in the beginning, but shortly after the wedding I realized that things weren’t clicking for me.

March 2, 2017 Angela Reading Goals, Wrap Up

Real life definitely slowed down my reading progress this past month, but I’ve read more books and written more reviews than I’ve had time to post here. I admit I’ve been in a bit of a book slump lately, so I need motivation to stay on schedule. Nonetheless, I’m determined to keep my 2017 Reading Goals. Read on to check out the good, bad, and ugly status of my goals, plus a wrap-up of books reviewed on the blog in February.
