A new male/male hockey romance from 24-time USA Today bestseller Sarina Bowen!

My name is Hudson Newgate, but my teammates call me New Guy.

That was my nickname in Chicago, too. And Vancouver. That’s what happens when you keep getting traded. Brooklyn is my last chance, especially after my poor performance last season.

But I can make this work. The new guy knows to keep his head down and shoot the puck. The new guy puts the game first.

What he doesn’t do is hook up with the other new guy—a hot athletic trainer who lives in my building. Gavin needs this job with my team. He’s a single dad with responsibilities.

We can’t be a couple. My arrogant agent–who’s also my father–will lose his mind if I’m dating a dude. And my team needs me to score goals, not whip up a media circus.

Too bad Gavin and I are terrible at resisting each other…

Sarina Bowen strikes gold again with The New Guy, a M/M hockey romance that is a pure delight from beginning to end.

The New Guy teaser

Hudson is a pro hockey player who has a history of being traded frequently. It’s hard to be his authentic self or even establish real friendships when he is always the new guy. He isn’t ashamed of his sexuality, but he has one foot in the closet due to a justifiable fear of the negative impact on his career.

Gavin, on the other hand, is out and proud. He’s the team’s new physical therapist. I loved his openness as well as how patient and understanding he is with Hudson. Gavin also happens to be a wonderful single father. His daughter really stole my heart. It’s entertaining watching her become an avid hockey fan and Hudson’s biggest supporter.

From the get go, Gavin and Hudson have great chemistry. I loved the tension and slow build. However, it’s also the tenderness they share that made me ship this couple.

The New Guy teaser

The New Guy can be read as a standalone, but it was great being back in the Brooklyn Bruisers world.

The audiobook features one of my favorite narrators, J.F. Harding. His performance as Hudson is heartfelt and expressive. Fans of Teddy Hamilton won’t be disappointed by his gentle, patient portrayal of Gavin.
