I liked this book, but I loved the audio.

Jackson is a star college football player and a good ole Southern boy, but he lacks social graces – particularly where women are concerned. Charlie is prickly, and Jackson manages to push all her buttons in record time. I enjoyed their bickering and their slow simmering romance.

In order to fully enjoy the story, you must be willing to believe that Jackson, a 22 year-old college student, is as sheltered and inexperienced as he claims. That may be a tall order for some.

The narration makes this Jock Road 100 times more entertaining. Jacob Morgan is phenomenal in his vocal performance of Jackson. His self-deprecation is sweet and funny. He totally nails the man-child depiction. Ava Erickson does a nice job portraying Charlie, but Morgan is clearly the star.
