You’re cordially invited to the wedding of Maximoff Hale & Farrow Keene, and according to Celebrity Crush—the ceremony for this American prince and his tattooed bodyguard is going to be the event of the century.

There will be no wedding crashers.

Including but not limited to: hateful people, rabid fans, nosy paparazzi, and other so-called media.

There will be no drama.

None whatsoever. Because when you put three famous families and their hot bodyguards together, nothing will go down.

There will be no fighting.

No brawls, fists flying, verbal slingshots, or rifts that tear into craters. Lovers only!

Everything will be perfect.

Nothing will go amiss during the happiest, most anticipated occasion of the year. But then again…

They don't call it the Hale Curse for nothing.

The Like Us series is a true series, one continuous timeline, that follows a family of wealthy celebrities and the people that protect them.

The Like Us Series Reading Order: 1. Damaged Like Us (Maximoff & Farrow) 2. Lovers Like Us (Maximoff & Farrow) 3. Alphas Like Us (Maximoff & Farrow) 4. Tangled Like Us (Jane & Thatcher) 5. Sinful Like Us (Jane & Thatcher) 6. Headstrong Like Us (Maximoff & Farrow) 7. Charming Like Us (Oscar & Jack) 8. Wild Like Us (Akara & Sulli & Banks)

I have been holding my breath waiting for Maximoff and Farrow’s wedding in Headstrong Like Us. I can finally let out a happy sigh. This conclusion is a huge dollop of icing on top of a sweet and epic love story.

I wanted to give the book 5 stars, but there’s some unsatisfying drama thrown in that takes off a little bit of the shine. I was worried Krista and Becca were going to interfere with Lily and Lo’s HEA for awhile there. They had Moffy (and me!) in a state, but it’s much ado about nothing. The mess with Lo’s therapist is rather absurd and unnecessary. The drama surrounding Maximoff’s temp bodyguard also adds nothing to the story.

That said, this story delivers all the joy Maximoff and Farrow deserve. They have faced turbulent times head on and come out stronger on the other side. I can’t believe how much Maximoff has grown over the course of this series. Seeing the healthy man he has become moved me. Farrow grew up without love, so the loving welcome he receives from the Hale family is significant and touching.

Headstrong Like Us teaser

I soaked up all pre-wedding activities: the choosing of the groomsmen and women; the bachelor parties; the last name decision; and picking a place to live. I loved it all. The week-long celebration in Italy with the Hales, Meadows, Cobalts, and Abbeys is a delight. I was a little sad that we don’t get to see more of Connor, Ryke, and Daisy, but I guess there’s only so much you can cram into one book. As always, I loved the banter and camaraderie among the bodyguards.

There are so many emotional moments. I swear I felt myself tear up every single time Farrow and Maximoff are together, so it is no surprise that I got choked up during the wedding. It does not disappoint. Marrow for life!

  1. Great review! I read this one, too. I’m so glad they didn’t mess too much with Lily & Lo or the therapist thing. I didn’t mind the addition of those things because they gave a little drama. Otherwise, there wouldn’t have been much. Maybe not enough for me. I can’t wait for the next book!
