A heartwarming and refreshing debut novel that proves one thing: there's not enough data in the world to predict what will make your heart tick.

Stella Lane thinks math is the only thing that unites the universe. She comes up with algorithms to predict customer purchases--a job that has given her more money than she knows what to do with, and way less experience in the dating department than the average thirty-year-old.

It doesn't help that Stella has Asperger's and French kissing reminds her of a shark getting its teeth cleaned by pilot fish. Her conclusion: she needs lots of practice--with a professional. Which is why she hires escort Michael Phan. The Vietnamese and Swedish stunner can't afford to turn down Stella's offer, and agrees to help her check off all the boxes on her lesson plan--from foreplay to more-than-missionary position...

Before long, Stella not only learns to appreciate his kisses, but crave all of the other things he's making her feel. Their no-nonsense partnership starts making a strange kind of sense. And the pattern that emerges will convince Stella that love is the best kind of logic...

The Kiss Quotient is Helen Hoang’s debut novel, and she slays the heck out of it. I was hoping for a nice feel-good romantic comedy, but I feel like I won the lottery. This book is complete perfection—every single sentence. Read More

What I’m Reading for May’s Ultimate Reading Challenge

May’s Ultimate Reading Challenge is to read a book set in a place you’d like to visit. I love wine, and I’ve always wanted to take a vineyard tour of Napa Valley, California. I just started listening to the audiobook of NOWHERE BUT HERE by Renée Carlino, and it is set in a Napa Valley vineyard. I think I should stock up on some read wine to drink while listening. Are you participating May’s #UltimateReadingChallenge? If so, whatcha reading?

Top 4 Authors Challenge. Penny Reid: First Book Read, or How I Fell in Love with a Genius Writer

Many, many years ago, when I was but a wee lass… Where the hell did the Irish come from? I have no idea. And it was actually only three years ago, but it seems like a lifetime ago that I found a pot of gold in the form of a YA book titled Attraction by a new-to-me author, Penny Reid. Attraction is book one in the Laws of Chemistry trilogy. (Read review)

Review ♥ We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

Review ♥ We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

I love a good mystery, and by good I mean one that truly makes me think. I’m one of those smarty-pants readers who frequently figures out the secret long before it’s divulged. I pride myself on seeing plot twists coming a mile away. I start a mystery by throwing down the gauntlet to the author: okay, surprise me. E. Lockhart picked up my challenge. We Were Liars tested my intellect, kept me guessing, and had me on the edge of my seat until the very end.

A Roomies Movie!

A Roomies Movie!

Roomies by Christina Lauren is headed to the big screen! I loved this marriage of convenience story about a talented subway musician with dreams of Broadway. One major obstacle? He’s an illegal immigrant from Ireland facing deportation. Read review here. The authors are writing the movie adaptation, so here’s hoping it will be true to the book.
