Marni Mann has outdone herself and proven, once again, why she is a queen of erotic romance. The Billionaire is a delectable age gap love story that successfully combines sweet and sizzling. And by sizzling, I mean this book should come with a complimentary fan and a Do Not Read in Public warning. Holy Hades! This is some prime erotica, folks.

Jenner and Jo meet in the cutest way, and while it’s definitely a case of lust at first sight, I really enjoyed their social foreplay. Their witty banter and subtle flirtations make what was meant to be a one night stand more gratifying.

The sex is off the charts—and there’s a lot of it—but it’s the characters’ journey that kept my eyes glued to the page until the wee hours of the morning. Jenner and Jo live on opposite coasts and are at completely different stages in their lives. Jo is close to graduating from college, and Jenner is a billionaire lawyer. On paper they don’t work, but somehow they click, and I found myself not caring about their age difference. It’s unbelievable that their differences didn’t matter more to those in Jenner’s social circle, though.

Jo’s intelligence, maturity, and lively personality deepen Jenner’s attraction to her. As for Jenner, he is effortlessly charming, and his romantic side made me swoon bigtime. I loved the camaraderie Jenner has with his brothers and Jo’s ride-or-die friendship with her best gal pal.

I saw the forbidden aspect coming, but it didn’t play out the way I expected, which was nice. The epilogue is a sweet surprise.
