Scarlett is always the sensible one: The sober driver. The planner. The one holding your hair back while you're worshiping the porcelain gods.

Week-after-week, she visits Jock Row with her friends—the universities hottest party scene and breeding ground for student athletes. And if keeping her friends out of trouble, and guys out of their pants, was a sport, she'd be the star athlete.

Being a well known jock-blocker gets her noticed for all the wrong reasons; just like that, she's banned from Jock Row. NO GUY WANTS A GIRL AROUND WHO KEEPS THEIR JOCK FRIENDS FROM GETTING LAID.

"Rowdy" Wade is the hot shot short-stop for the universities baseball team—and the unlucky bastard who drew the short straw: keep little Miss Goody Two-Shoes out of the Baseball House.

But week-after-week Scarlett returns, determined to get inside.

What an unexpected treat Jock Row was! I had some reservations based on the blurb, but Sara Ney knocked my socks off with this college rom-com.

Shout out to my girl Scarlett, who could not care less what other people think of her. Go ahead and proudly wear that ugly sweater and ski cap to a frat party. You. Do. You. Scarlett is smart and kind, and I loved her so hard. You might expect for the captain of the college’s baseball team to be an egotistical womanizer, but Rowdy is unassuming and super intelligent. He appreciates substance over beauty, and Rowdy manages to be charming even when he’s trying to be the opposite.

I could not have asked for a better meet cute. The setup itself is fun, but the way in which Sara Ney adds layer upon hilarious layer to their initial interaction is perfection. Verbal sparring is my catnip, and with Scarlett’s stubbornness and dry wit and Rowdy’s playful sarcasm, these two have mastered the art. I enjoyed the pacing and the way their relationship grows each time they meet.

I smiled, laughed, and swooned my way through this highly entertaining story. It was just what the doctor ordered to lift my spirits. Jock Row is book one in the Jock Hard series. I hope the next book is just as good.
