Infamous Like Us is an MFM Romance and Book 10 in the Like Us Series.

For the life of me I don’t know why Sulli’s story needed to be a trilogy when it could easily have been told in two books. It’s just way too long for a story I wasn’t fully invested in. Anyway, I think I liked Infamous Like Us the best of the three books.

Bad things first. Sulli is probably my least favorite character in the Like Us series at this point. I admired her determination, but she is petty, unforgiving, and really immature. I’m also still not a fan of the triad. I couldn’t figure out what’s so special about Sulli that two men can’t live without her, nor why she can’t live without both of them. There’s not enough distinction between Banks and Okara. I liked both men, their friendship, as well as their devotion, but their personalities are fairly interchangeable. My other issue is that the main storyline—which I won’t spoil—is massively unnecessary. I feel like I’m talking myself out of giving this four stars.

It’s the Olympics storyline that made the book for me and earned it an extra star. I’m an Olympics fanatic, and I found the chapters involving Sulli competing in the Olympics to be utter page turners. The events leading up to and including the Olympics take up a good portion of the book, and the many suspenseful moments are compelling. I also liked how elements of danger are woven throughout the book. The rabid paparazzi and social media attention on Sulli, Banks, and Akara is a highlight as well as an opportunity for Sulli’s growth. It is reminiscent of the original Addicted series and the world’s fascination with the Core 6, especially Lilo. There’s a new dynamic between Sulli and Lily that is particularly heartwarming.

There are several memorable and touching moments that I really enjoyed, but considering the trilogy as a whole I can’t say it’s anywhere near the best in the series.
