I can’t believe it’s time for my Favorite Books of 2022 list already. While this was a challenging year for me personally, it was a great year for books. I continued to branch out into a variety of genres, and I also found myself listening to way more audiobooks. In fact, I typically listen to an audiobook during my commute to work while reading an ebook or paperback when I’m at home. Basically, I’m always reading two books at the same time. It sounds crazy, but as long as the books are different genres or very different plots I can keep them straight in my mind. Here are ten of my favorite books published in 2022, in no particular order.

Drama King gets the award for Most Entertaining Meet Cute and Most Cuddly Main Character. It’s an all-around fun story, especially for lovers of slow burn romance.
Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is Most Recent Additions to My Book Collection. Between Christmas presents, gift cards, and store credits, I was able to add quite a few books to my shelf. The additions I’m most excited about are the Addicted and Calloway Sisters paperbacks by Krista and Becca Ritchie. They are no longer printing the books with these gorgeous indie covers, so there is a limited availability. The series has been bought by a major publishing company, and slightly smaller books with new covers will be released next year. Here are my most recent ebook, paperback, and audiobook additions!
The Intern by Marni Mann is now live! A scorching hot enemies-to-lovers office romance from USA Today best-selling author Marni Mann…
What the heck did I just read? Each chapter of The Housemaid is more bonkers than the one before! I was quickly pulled in by the characters and became addicted to the insanity.
It Starts With Us is Colleen Hoover’s love letter to fans of her wildly popular book, It Ends With Us. She heard the cries of readers who begged to know all the details of Lily and Atlas’s happily ever after, and she answered their calls for a follow-up in spectacular fashion. It Starts With Us picks up immediately after the end of the previous book, and the mood is so much lighter.
Be Your Everything is the second book in the series about the tight-knit D’Angelo family. This book is about Chloe, the “little” sister to two overprotective brothers. It’s a brother’s best friend story, and even though I really liked the first book, I appreciated the lighter tone of this one.
That lump in my throat? I should be used to it by now. It’s an affliction that seems to occur whenever I read one of Colleen Hoover’s books. I went through a dozen lozenges while reading Heart Bones, and it was totally worth it.
Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is a freebie, so I decided to do Authors I’m Thankful For. This was an easy list to compile. I have so many authors I love, but I’m particularly thankful for these authors because they so rarely disappoint me. Whether their stories are funny, emotional, or suspenseful, I know I can count on them for an entertaining reading.
Thank goodness. A romance for grown folks—and a poignant, steamy one at that! Before I Let Go is an emotional look at a marriage burned to the ground and two people determined to rise from the ashes to find happiness again.
“Breathtaking, gut-wrenching, viscerally romantic. I want to curl up and live in this book.” ―Talia Hibbert, New York Times bestselling author Before I Let Go, an all-new powerful, soul-gripping second chance romance filled with raw emotion and sizzling steam from USA Today bestselling author Kennedy Ryan, is now available!
It’s safe to say Ilsa Madden-Mills has a hit on her hands with her Strangers in Love series. Princess and the Player is every bit as enjoyable as the first book—not an easy feat.
