Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is Covers with Animals on Them. I’ve read all of these with the exception of A Charm of Finches. It’s still on my TBR list.
Dear Abby Jimenez, You simply do not disappoint. Your books have a perfect track record with me so far, and Yours Truly is another heartfelt feather in your literary cap.
Jewel E. Ann wrote If This is Love. That’s all I needed to know to make me want to read it. I didn’t even know the plot. I just dove right in. Let me tell you, this book is simply spectacular. It’s been a long while since a book kept me up all night, so even though I’m sporting bags under my eyes today, it was totally worth it.
Things We Never Got Over was one of my favorite books of last year, and while it’s still in a league of its own, Things We Hide From the Light is highly enjoyable.
Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is Indie Books (submitted by Nicole @ BookWyrm Knits). An indie book is one that is either independently published (also known as self-published) by the author or published through a small publishing company. With the invention of Kindles, indie books rose in popularity. I would say that at this point at least half of the books I read are indie books. Here are just a few that I recommend reading.
A Long Time Coming is not just my favorite Cane Brothers book, but–dare I say–my favorite Meghan Quinn book so far, hands down. I’ve got hearts in my eyes, a swoony sway to my body, and a massive smile on my lips to prove it.
The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy is a whimsical romance set in an alternate universe. I don’t read much fantasy, and I certainly had no idea that fantasy romantic comedy was a thing, but apparently it is. This book is quirky, for sure, and I liked it.
All the Dangerous Things shows just how chilling sleep disorders can be.
Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is Bookish People I’d Like to Meet. I’ve been very fortunate to attend quite a few book signings, so I’ve met the majority of my unicorn authors. There are still a few bucket list authors that I’d love to meet, though.
Sarina Bowen strikes gold again with The New Guy, a M/M hockey romance that is a pure delight from beginning to end.
Happy Valentine’s Day, and welcome to Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week is a Valentine’s Day freebie, so I’ve chosen to highlight Books with “Love” in the Title.
