New from twenty-time USA Today bestseller Sarina Bowen!
How to behave when the guy who broke your heart two thousand miles away turns up in your office:
One: Don’t drop your lucky coffee cup in shock, even though it’s been ten years.
Two: Don’t get defensive when he asks how you ended up working his family’s ski mountain… and why you kept it a secret.
Three: Give him the worst room in the resort. He deserves it for suddenly waltzing back in like he owns the place. (Which he kind of does.)
Four, five, six, seven, eight and nine: Do not kiss him in the hot tub.
Ten: Try to keep your heart intact after you break all of your rules.
Because Reed is leaving again. Hate can't turn back into love. And it’s a little too late…
Someone, please book me a trip to Madigan Mountain, STAT! I don’t even ski, but A Little Too Late has me envisioning a vacation on a snowy mountain ski resort, snowboarding down the bunny slope, a big mug of hot chocolate with marshmallows cupped in my hands, and a soak in a glorious hot tub at the end of the day. I feel like I became part of Madigan Mountain, and I’m homesick now.
I was charmed by Reed Madigan and Ava Aicher’s romance, but it may not be for you. Absolutely do not read A Little Too Late if you think you’ll dislike:
- A sweet but passionate college romance
- A scorned woman with a wicked grudge 10 years in the making
- A second chance romance
- Banter
- A boutique ski resort
- Wheeling and dealing
- Challenging family dynamics
There is so much to love about this book, which kicks off the Madigan Mountain series in a very successful fashion. I’m excited to continue the story with the other Madigan brothers.
Recommended for fans of:
Skiing
Second chance romance
Enemies to lovers
Hot tubs
Racoons
** I received an early copy to voluntarily read. It does not affect my opinions.

Great review! I don’t know that I want to go skiing in Montana, but I loved reading about it.
What a lovely review. I just loved your thoughts on this one, and it sounds like such a cozy read for this time of year or maybe even Christmas time, now I have to debate if I want to give in and read it now or wait until November or December!
I hadn’t thought of that, but it would be a good Christmas read.
I want to go to Madigan Mountain too. I added this to my TBR.
I hope you enjoy it!
The setting of this one is really calling to me. Glad you enjoyed it!
this book sounds amazing! i was sold at skiing.
One of these days I’ll learn how to ski.
