I am constantly impressed by Jewel E. Ann’s versatility as a writer. If you want a mind-bending thriller filled with twists, she’s your gal. She also does contemporary romance really well. However, she does have a tendency to lure you in with humor and sweetness, only to break your heart. Don’t get me wrong. I love her wicked ways because her books are so engrossing and well-written, but I’m always holding my breath, waiting for the other shoe to drop. There’s no need to worry about that with Fortuity. It’s a bewitching romance that is quite simply a joy to read from beginning to end.
Queen Move is quintessential Kennedy Ryan — a second chance romance that seamlessly combines important social issues with a scorching love story and an emotional plot.
The Lying Hours is a modern take on Cyrano de Bergerac. I was worried I’d spend the majority of the book just waiting for the main character to be caught in a lie, but it’s not nearly as bad as I feared.
This book really took me by surprise in the best possible way. I expected Beach Read to simply be a lighthearted romance, perfect for a day of relaxing. While there is humor a plenty, which I gobbled up, it is actually a very touching story.
This book is a great antidote for a bad day. You would have to try really hard to read an Emma Chase novel and still feel grumpy. Dirty Charmer starts with an alluring meet cute and the smiles just keep coming.
Sarina Bowen is like my sports romance fairy godmother. Whenever I’m feeling down, she is there to wave her fictional magic wand and — poof! — I’m transported to a wonderful place where hockey players have soft hearts and and the women who love them share a tight bond. Sure Shot is exactly the sweet escape I needed. Bess Beringer is a sports agent with a solid reputation and one firm rule: never date athletes. With a successful business well in hand, Bess decides it’s time to pursue a fulfilling personal life. She is on the right path to making her dreams a reality until a blast from her past threatens to derail her plans.

Single dad alert!! Fortuity, an all-new contemporary romance from Jewel E. Ann, releases June 1st and the cover is so sweet! This is one of my most-anticipated reads for June.
Amy Harmon’s epic historical fiction novel, Where the Lost Wander, is now live! In this epic and haunting love story set on the Oregon Trail, a family and their unlikely protector find their way through peril, uncertainty, and loss. The Overland Trail, 1853: Naomi May never expected to be widowed at twenty. Eager to leave her grief behind, she sets off with her family for a life out West. On the trail, she forms an instant connection with John Lowry, a half-Pawnee man straddling two worlds and a stranger in both. But life in a wagon train is fraught with hardship, fear, and death. Even as John and Naomi are drawn to each other, the trials of the journey and their disparate pasts work to keep them apart. I love the snark of the heroine and I’m still enchanted by the universe Thalassa has created with The Bargainer series. I wish I felt more invested in the characters, though.
Thrive is a full-length companion novel to the Addicted and Calloway Sisters series. I have a feeling I would have enjoyed it more had I read it in the suggested order. As it is, I skipped this one when I devoured the entire series a year ago, and since I was missing the characters I decided to go back and read this book.
