Audiobook Review ♥ Mercy by Debra Anastasia

Audiobook Review ♥ Mercy by Debra Anastasia

I was looking for a book by a “new to me” author and stumbled upon Mercy. It has high ratings, but I was on the fence about reading it because I don’t like my romance on the super dark side. Don’t give me a book full of kidnapping and torture and then try to make me fall in love with the victimizer. Zachary Webber and Muffy Newtown narrate the audiobook, though, and I love them hard so I figured it was worth a shot. I was pleasantly surprised. Mercy is actually a heart melting love story with the perfect amount of darkness to shake things up and suck you in.

Romance & Love Celebration

Romance & Love Celebration

February 13, 2019 Angela Guest Feature

My friend Sophie from Beware of the Reader is hosting a month-long romance and love celebration. She invited me to share a personal love story, and I had so much fun writing about how my husband and I grew closer while reading the In Death series together. It’s a pretty swoony story, if I do say so myself. You can read the full post here. While you’re there, be sure to check out the other stories written by authors, bloggers, and readers!

February 3, 2019 Angela Erotica, Reviews

Contains spoilers from the first book. Things are clicking along at a nice pace in part two of this 5-part serial. Frankie is still reeling from her decidedly less than professional encounter with Derek at the end of Unblocked – Episode One. Although Derek is her client, she can’t stop fantasizing about him, so she decides to allow herself a little short term sex-only release.

Mini Review ♥ Left Drowning by Jessica Park

Mini Review ♥ Left Drowning by Jessica Park

January 27, 2019 Angela New Adult, Reviews, Romance

Yes, Left Drowning is a romance and yes, some parts are erotic, but it’s also a compelling story about loss, redemption, forgiveness, and the healing power of friendship. And while there is tragedy, it’s not depressing. In fact, there were moments when I found myself laughing out loud. The characters are so fully developed and real that I completely fell in love with the Shepherd clan. How could you not love Sabin & Estelle? The love story between Blythe & Christopher is truly moving. The book comes to a satisfying conclusion, but I was sad to let the story and the characters go.
