Welcome to my stop on the Meet Your Next Book Boyfriend blog tour hosted by my blogging buddies at Foxy Blogs. I’m excited to introduce you to Jake Becker from one of my all-time favorite romantic comedies, Sustained by Emma Chase. Jake is a wanted man, so watch out! There are two giveaways so make sure you enter them both. A paperback of Sustained and a $25 Amazon gift card are up for grabs.
Jake Becker, former troubled teen turned successful defense attorney, is wanted for several crimes against women across the Washington, DC area. Approach with extreme caution. He is lethally handsome and has been known to melt the panties off women and cause ovaries to spontaneously explode.
Friends say Jake is no danger at all, pointing out that he has turned away from his playboy lifestyle since meeting Chelsea McQuaid, the 26-year-old guardian of her six nieces and nephews. In fact, he has become somewhat of a father figure to the children. He was recently spotted bravely attending a One Direction concert with Ms. McQuaid’s niece and her friend. Mr. Becker is a ruthless litigator, but best friend Stanton Shaw says he has learned to, “braid hair like a boss.” Jake was last seen participating in a Mommy and Me class.
Jake is 6’3” with dark brown hair, blue eyes, and a face so handsome it’s illegal. Distinguishing marks include badass tattoos covering his collarbone, right shoulder and right arm. He speaks dirty talk fluently and is well know for his talents in the bedroom.
If seen, call the Montgomery County Police Department at 1-888-HOT-DAMN. Or better yet, send him my way!

When you’re a defense attorney in Washington, DC, you see firsthand how hard life can be, and that sometimes the only way to survive is to be harder. I, Jake Becker, have a reputation for being cold, callous, and intimidating—and that suits me just fine. In fact, it’s necessary when I’m breaking down a witness on the stand.
Complications don’t work for me—I’m a “need-to-know” type of man. If you’re my client, tell me the basic facts. If you’re my date, stick to what will turn you on. I’m not a therapist or Prince Charming—and I don’t pretend to be.
Then Chelsea McQuaid and her six orphaned nieces and nephews came along and complicated the ever-loving hell out of my life. Now I'm going to Mommy & Me classes, One Direction concerts, the emergency room, and arguing cases in the principal's office.
Chelsea’s too sweet, too innocent, and too gorgeous for her own good. She tries to be tough, but she’s not. She needs someone to help her, defend her…and the kids. And that — that, I know how to do.
