Audiobook Review ♥ The Fortunate Ones by R.S. Grey
Overall thoughts on The Fortunate Ones: This was a bit of a mixed bag. It was an easy read that I enjoyed in one sitting, even though there’s too much on-again/off-again going on. I liked the tension between James and Brooke. Their relationship has some complexity, and I wanted the two of them to get together. At the same time, their chemistry tends to be a little off. Brooke’s sister is rather annoying, but this book should suit drama llamas and hopeless romantics alike.
Audiobook Review ♥ Then She Was Gone by Lisa Jewell
Then She Was Gone is unlike any other mystery I’ve read. The premise is fairly ordinary. Ellie, a seemingly happy teenage girl with a bright future ahead of her, disappears suddenly without a trace, and her family is torn apart in the aftermath. The “girl gone missing” storyline has been done many times before. However, it’s the complex execution that makes this mystery so unique. I think it would be a great book club selection.

Book: 3 stars Audiobook: DNF @ 50% Pucked was an okay read, but I guess I was expecting more given the popularity of this series.

I read Forever My Girl as part of the Ultimate Reading Challenge to read a book that has been adapted into a movie. I have to wonder if this is one of those rare cases where the movie is better than the book because the book just didn’t do it for me.

I’m not sure what I expected from my first Tessa Bailey book, but Getaway Girl totally knocked me on my booty. I was unprepared for this romance to be so funny, addictive, and hawt!

I’ve heard nothing but good things about this series, and I must say that Beautiful Bastard (book 1) is a highly entertaining read. It’s also one very, very dirty book.
February Ultimate Reading Challenge Audiobook Review: The Law of Moses by Amy Harmon
February’s Ultimate Reading Challenge 2018: Tear Jerkers Audiobook Review Welp. I was looking for a good tear jerker and The Law of Moses has a ton of 5-star reviews. Many have mentioned how heartbreaking it is. This is clearly a case of it-must-be-just-me. I’m probably emotionally stunted or my tear ducts may be extremely clogged because I didn’t come close to shedding a tear. There are parts that are quite sad, but I felt detached from the story for the most part. I think the fact that I listened to the audio book may be to blame, but I’ll get to that in a minute.
Audiobook Review: Ride Steady by Kristen Ashley
I haven’t read very many Kristen Ashley books, but I can see why she’s such a popular author. She has a way of seamlessly weaving multiple characters together into an entertaining plot. Ride Steady is a great example of this.
