The Birthday List is a story of loss and new beginnings. I can see how some might find it inspirational. When life deals you a devastating blow, it’s easy to wallow in grief. The fact that Poppy is motivated to get back up and push through her pain is wonderful.

This book really took me by surprise in the best possible way. I expected Beach Read to simply be a lighthearted romance, perfect for a day of relaxing. While there is humor a plenty, which I gobbled up, it is actually a very touching story.
Activism, while admirable and essential in the real world, isn’t something I would think to base a fictional romance around. In fact, I wasn’t sure The Kingmaker would appeal to me, but knowing what a versatile storyteller Kennedy Ryan is, I was excited to see what she had up her sleeves. What she produced utterly dazzled me.
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is an epic Hollywood romance that examines what it takes to achieve success on the big screen. I was on the fence about reading historical fiction, but I needn’t have worried. This book is riveting.

Call me a softy, but Until It Fades really tugged at my heartstrings. Having read a lot of romantic comedies and erotic books lately, it was refreshing to read a story that has a little more depth to it but still retains the romantic elements that I enjoy.
Maybe in Another Life is the third book I’ve read by Taylor Jenkins Reid, and I can safely say that I’ve become an avid fan. In this book she weaves a unique story that explores how one brief moment can drastically alter the path a person’s life takes.
