WSJ bestselling author Ilsa Madden-Mills delivers a gripping enemies-to-lovers, secret admirer, high school romance.
The rich and popular Sharks rule at prestigious, ivy-covered Camden Prep. Once upon a time, I wanted to be part of their world--until they destroyed me.
The last thing I expected was an anonymous love letter from one of them.
Please. I hate every one of those rich jerks for what they did to me. The question is, which Shark is my secret admirer?
Knox, the scarred quarterback.
Dane, his twin brother.
Or Chance, the ex who dumped me. . .Dear Ava,Your eyes are the color of the Caribbean Sea.
Wait. That's stupid.
What I really mean is, you look at me and I feel something REAL.It's been ten months since you were here, but I can't forget you.
I've missed seeing you walk down the hall.
I've missed you cheering at my football games.
I've missed the smell of your hair. And then everything fell apart the night of the kegger.
Don't hate me because I'm a Shark.
I just want to make you mine.Still.Mature Content. Recommended for 18+.

This all-new, full-length version is 376 pages and 100,000 words.
I don’t typically go for high school romances, but Dear Ava is a really well written enemies to lovers new adult story.
Ava is a resilient high school senior. To say her past is troubled would be an understatement. I loved her never-let-them-see you-sweat attitude and her determination to thrive despite her circumstances.
It would be easy to paint Knox as just the bully or the popular jock, but he has so many layers that I enjoyed uncovering. I also liked seeing Ava through his eyes and his fascination for her.
The chemistry between Knox and Ava is electric. Their love story is filled with the perfect balance of angst and passion. Dear Ava is the first book I’ve read by Ilsa Madden-Mills but I’ll definitely be looking for more of her work.

I’ve already heard so much about this book, and your review just added more fuel to the fire. I really should just go read this, shouldn’t I? Love the review hon!
Great review! I really enjoyed this one as well. It had an “older” feel to it, so maybe that is why it worked better than some high school romances for you.
I have a subscription to KU right now and this is one I’ve downloaded, but not started yet. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed it!
I’m getting so much use out of my KU. I love it when a KU book comes with Audible. Helena Hunting’s A Lie for a Lie and A Favor for a Favor both have free audio with KU.
I haven’t tried any with audible. I’ll need to check it out. Thanks for the tip!
