When I got dumped by my stupid fiancé a week before the wedding, my plans involved nothing more than ice cream, a blanket fort, and a bonfire of his possessions.
But my friends convinced me that bitter tastes better drowned in Bordeaux, so I came to Paris for a single-moon.
Then I met him. He's shown me things I’ve never seen before, and I’m not talking about the Louvre.
Is it just the seduction of Paris? Or could this be the real thing?
What a fun and sexy little story! When Mia’s fiancé calls off their wedding a week before the wedding day, her friends convince her to go on her honeymoon trip to Paris alone. Her vacation to the City of Love gets off to a rocky start when she is confronted with lovers everywhere she goes. On the verge of returning home, Mia escapes into a sports bar where Lucas is bartending. After chatting, Lucas urges Mia to give Paris another chance and he offers to be her tour guide. Although the scruffy Frenchman isn’t her type, she quickly grows attracted to him.
I enjoyed seeing ordered, repressed list-maker Mia transformed into spontaneous, flirty Mia. After enduring years with the world’s most selfish lover, Mia is in need of sexual healing and Lucas is more than willing to give her the attention she deserves.
“Listen. I don’t know what kind of assholes you’ve been with before, but I promise you, your orgasm will not only make an appearance tonight, it will be the star of the show.”
Mia’s O appears all over Paris! I love how she boldly claims her sexuality and Lucas is positively swoonworthy. So why didn’t I rate it higher? I just can’t get on board with falling in love with someone you’ve known less than a week. Lust? Yes. Love? Nope. Still, Frenched is a really charming story and worth the read.
Lovely review, Angela! I enjoyed this series as well.
I love Melanie. She’s great for a lighthearted read. 🙂
