From the New York Times Bestselling author of MISTER O and BIG ROCK, comes a hot & hilarious new standalone romantic comedy…
I’ve been told I have quite a gift.
Hey, I don’t just mean in my pants. I’ve got a big brain too, and a huge heart of gold. And I like to use all my gifts to the fullest, the package included. Life is smooth sailing....
Until I find myself stuck between a rock and a sexy roommate, which makes for one very hard…place.
Because scoring an apartment in this city is harder than finding true love.
So even if I have to shack up with my buddy’s smoking hot and incredibly amazing little sister, a man’s got to do what a man’s got to do.I can resist Josie. I’m disciplined, I’m focused, and I keep my hands to myself, even in the mere five-hundred square feet we share. Until the one night she insists on sliding under the covers with me. It’ll help her sleep after what happened that day, she says.
Spoiler—neither one of us sleeps.
Did I mention she’s also one of my best friends? That she’s brilliant, beautiful and a total firecracker? Guess that makes her the full package too.
What’s a man stuck in a hard place to do?
Lauren Blakely made me an instant fan with her hit, Big Rock. She has penned four successful spin-offs since then; I’ve read and enjoyed each one. Full Package is number five, and it’s absolute romantic comedy perfection.
I don’t like lightening strikes scenarios in friends to lovers romances. You know the kind I’m talking about. A man and woman have been platonic friends, like brother and sister, for years. Then lightening strikes one night, and out of the blue they glance at each other and immediately start ripping their clothes off. No thanks. Full Package successfully avoids that pitfall.
Chase (Dirty Talking Dr. McHottie) and Josie (Uninhibited Baker Babe) have been really good friends for ages. They aren’t blind. Of course they’ve noticed how sexy the other is, but they’ve never acted on any attraction because first and foremost they’re best friends who completely click. They enjoy the same sense of humor and interests, and have a mutual respect for each other. Why mess with a good thing? Josie and Chase do engage in lighthearted flirting, banter, and sexual innuendos, though, and I loved every single second of it. The burn between the sudden roommates is good and simmering, and by the time the two get together I was ready to page Dr. Chase for some sexual healing of my own.
It’s the cute nuances and endearing characters that make this story extra special. Josie’s recipes liberally sprinkled with her feelings about Chase are sweet and humorous. Chase’s ER stories and observations about living with a female are funny and warm.
As with the previous books, Full Package is stamped with Lauren Blakely’s hilarious storytelling from the male point of view as well as some seriously h-o-t bedroom scenes. Expect to be sighing, panting, and smiling from ear to ear. I’m looking forward to reading books six, seven, eight…
Note: Full Package is a standalone that includes characters from previous books.
