From the USA Today Bestselling Series There are three things you need to know about Kat Tanner (aka Kathleen Tyson. . . and yes, she is *that* Kathleen Tyson): 1) She’s determined to make good decisions, 2) She must get married ASAP, and 3) She knows how to knit.

Being a billionaire heiress isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. In fact, it sucks. Determined to live a quiet life, Kat Tanner changed her identity years ago and eschewed her family’s legacy. But now, Kat’s silver spoon past has finally caught up with her, and so have her youthful mistakes. To avoid imminent disaster, she must marry immediately; it is essential that the person she chooses have no romantic feelings for her whatsoever and be completely trustworthy.

Fortunately, she knows exactly who to ask. Dan O’Malley checks all the boxes: single, romantically indifferent to her, completely trustworthy. Sure, she might have a wee little crush on Dan the Security Man, but with clear rules, expectations, and a legally binding contract, Kat is certain she can make it through this debacle with her sanity—and heart—all in one piece.

Except, what happens when Dan O’Malley isn’t as indifferent—or as trustworthy—as she thought?

The Knitting in the City series is officially over (insert ugly cry) and what a sendoff. Marriage of Inconvenience is all kinds of wonderful.

We’ve seen aspects of Kat’s personality in previous books through the eyes of the other ladies in the knitting circle. Side note: May I just say how much I adore this diverse group of loyal friends? Anyway, it was delightful to get to know her fully. I really admired Kat’s ability to be strong and determined, even in the face of her insecurities.

I’m in love with a man. Some refer to him as Dan the Security Man. I call him Mine. He’s so freaking funny, protective, and devoted. His little internal monologues are wildly entertaining, and his patient support of Kat makes him even more irresistible. Dan was the main cause of my perma-smile while reading the book.

Dan’s family members are key players in the plot. His relationship with them is alternately humorous, loving, and tense, and I enjoyed the many layers. Dan’s guilt tripping mother, Eleanor, and his loser brother, Seamus, are especially lively.

Don’t expect immediate gratification in regards to Kat and Dan’s romance. The smolder is there from the start, but the flame is wonderfully slow—just the way I like it.

The epilogue reunites all the characters from the previous books and is extremely satisfying. It is a fitting conclusion that embodies all the affection and hilarity that are hallmarks of this winning series. I’m giving a standing ovation to Penny Reid for making me one happy reader.
