Reunite with Simon and Caroline from the New York Times best-selling Wallbanger in this fun and flirty novella!
Simon and Caroline have it all. A gorgeous restored Victorian house in Sausalito, flourishing careers, an eternal spark for each other, and a cat with more attitude than is legal in the state of California.
So what’s plaguing the couple of the century? They’ve got everything anyone could wish for, except...a family.
After several close calls, Simon and Caroline are coming to terms with the idea that being parents might not be in the cards for them. They’ve been married several years, and they’re realizing it may just be the two of them, forever. Which is okay, right?
Caroline’s career has taken an intriguing turn, Simon is working more than ever, they’re fresh from a trip across the pond to see their besties Jillian and Benjamin - things are falling into place, without a baby rattle.
But just when you think your life is set, the universe gives you a...twist.
Come back in for one more round with Simon and Caroline.
89 pages packed full of perfection! One More Round is like one big nuanced and completely satisfying epilogue to Caroline and Simon’s love story. It’s been at least five years since I read the books that made me a fan so some of the details were fuzzy, but this novella does a superb job interweaving key highlights without it sounding like mundane exposition.
I’d forgotten just how funny these characters — and Alice Clayton’s writing — are. I laughed and smiled throughout, but I was pleasantly surprised by the number of tender, emotional moments. The story is told almost entirely from Caroline’s perspective. In fact, Simon only has one chapter but I suggest you break out the tissues because it wrecked me in the most heartwarming way. Alice Clayton really outdoes herself. Of course, Clive the cat gets the final say and it’s a fun and happy ending to a delightful love story.
**I received an early copy to voluntarily read.**
I wasn’t sure if I wanted to read this one or not. I know I read the first 3 books in the series, but I don’t think I ever finished it. This makes me want to go back to finish it and add this one. It sounds like a great addition!
I didn’t finish the entire series either. I was more interested in Simon and Caroline than the other couples.
