So I’ve got this thing for cake batter. I know it has no nutritional value whatsoever. Whenever I’m baking a cake, I tell myself I’m going to leave just a little batter on the spoon to lick after I put the cake in the oven. Next thing I know I’m scraping the beaters and licking the bowl, my entire face covered with batter. Am I proud of this? No. What was my point? Oh yes. Their writing styles melded seamlessly. I found the character development and plot progression to be superb and atypical of novellas.
