Review: Say You’re Sorry by Karen Rose
I have been in a romantic suspense mood lately, and Say You’re Sorry is a darned good one.

I love Penny Reid’s humor. I love her odd, brilliant heroines. I love the men who dig their quirkiness. I. Loved. This. Book. What a great start to the series! I knew virtually nothing about Motion: Laws of Physics 1 going in, and I highly recommend that approach.
I don’t even know how to write this review. Because Verity? Well, that is some Grade A phenomenal whatthefuckery right there.
The books in the Brooklyn Bruisers series have been hit or miss for me, but Brooklynaire is a friends-to-lovers story that hits all the right notes.
Contains spoilers from the first book. Things are clicking along at a nice pace in part two of this 5-part serial. Frankie is still reeling from her decidedly less than professional encounter with Derek at the end of Unblocked – Episode One. Although Derek is her client, she can’t stop fantasizing about him, so she decides to allow herself a little short term sex-only release.
Pucked Up is the second book in Helena Hunting’s wildly popular Pucked series. I had a lukewarm reaction to the first book, Pucked, but decided to give the series another shot. I guess I liked this book marginally more.
Yes, Left Drowning is a romance and yes, some parts are erotic, but it’s also a compelling story about loss, redemption, forgiveness, and the healing power of friendship. And while there is tragedy, it’s not depressing. In fact, there were moments when I found myself laughing out loud. The characters are so fully developed and real that I completely fell in love with the Shepherd clan. How could you not love Sabin & Estelle? The love story between Blythe & Christopher is truly moving. The book comes to a satisfying conclusion, but I was sad to let the story and the characters go.

Overnight Sensation scores big and delivers a healthy dose of sugar, a hint of spice, and a whole lot of nice.
When Ashes Fall is a dazzling romance featuring a unique love triangle. I have no idea why, but I’m one of those masochistic readers that allows my heart to torn be apart by love triangles time and again. While I saw the writing on the wall within the first few chapters, I appreciated the creativity of the plot and my attention was captured throughout.
Festive in Death is the 39th book in the In Death series. Admittedly, I have experienced bouts of ennui while reading the last several books, but J.D. Robb is in fine form here. She fills this book with everything that made me fall in love with the series, and it’s now one of my favorites.
