2018 Reading Goals
I am a goal-oriented reader, so striving to read a certain number of books each year is an annual tradition. Once again, I’m challenging myself in other areas as well. Do you think I can achieve my 2018 Reading Goals?

Well, that’s a wrap for 2017! Happy New Year! I’ll share my reading goals for 2018 in a separate post but before I do, it’s time to take an honest look and see how I did with my 2017 reading goals. First things first, though. Here’s a wrap-up of December 2017 reviews. Three 5-star books!!
If you enjoy the forbidden, Defy is one heck of a student-teacher romance. It’s beyond sultry and I was surprised by the unpredictable nature, seeing that the entire plot appears to be given away in the synopsis.
Some years it’s easy to narrow down my list of favorite books, but this year I really struggled with my choices. When it came down to it, there were 14 books (including two series) that made a lingering impression on me. Here are my picks for Best Books of 2017, listed in no particular order. Scandalous is the third book in L.J. Shen’s Sinners of Saint series, and it’s every bit as addictive, unpredictable, and scorching hot as the previous books. I feel like I’m being redundant gushing about this series.
It’s official. I am unequivocally addicted to the Sinners of Saint series. After reading the first book, Vicious, I suspected I’d found a new favorite series. Ruckus sealed the deal.
So many people have told me how wonderful L.J. Shen’s writing is. I finally decided to see for myself, and Vicious seemed like a good place to start. After chapter one, I was completely mesmerized.
Team Player is a highly enjoyable sports romance anthology. This review covers Sweeping the Series by Kate Stewart, One Good Man by Emma Scott, Switch Hitter by Sara Ney, and Full Court Press by Kennedy Ryan.
One of my favorite authors, Jewel E. Ann, has been hard at work on a new contemporary romance. LOOK THE PART is coming your way January 29, 2018. Can we take a moment to admire the ridiculously attractive cover?
I’ve always claimed that I’m not a big fan of MC (Motorcycle Club) books, but hot dang if I’m not utterly in love with the Signal Bend series. All the Sky is the fifth book in the series, and I was happy to be reunited with the Night Horde bikers.
Alex is the first book in the Cold Fury Hockey series. I’ve read some of the other books and enjoyed them, so I decided to go back and start from the beginning. Unfortunately, Alex was a disappointment on two fronts: the story and the narration.
