Long story short, on the whole I enjoyed Mile High more than the previous one. It’s pretty close to 4 stars. I’m a sappy romantic, so I loved seeing Bianca nurtured and showered with affection.

Sawyer Bennett is a versatile writer and she does a wonderful job showcasing her lighthearted romance skills with Max. This book has two major things going for it as far as I’m concerned.

One piece of advice before reading this book: buckle up. Scarlet Stone dished up every conceivable emotion and then completely obliterated my senses. Even when my emotions were tied in knots, I reveled in this spellbinding, original story.

I’ve said this before, but I popped my erotica cherry as it were with a J. Daniels book (Sweet Addiction, in case you’re curious). She’s had a special place in my heart ever since. I love her and her books—almost as much as bacon—and while I liked Hit the Spot, I didn’t adore it.
