One cold December day, two men are blindsided by a hockey trade; one is the most decorated goalie in the league, while the other one is the youngest coach in the majors.
Jethro Hale is the last player Coach Clay Powers wants to see on his roster, but the G.M. pulls a fast one. And it's not like he can even explain why. Nobody knows about their love affair fifteen years ago.
Cue the all-star awkwardness, the painful memories and the reawakening of deep feelings on both sides.
Unfortunately, their attraction still burns brightly. But it can never be. A player and a coach? The scandal would overshadow the team’s banner year.
If only they could resist each other…
If you love grumpy heroes, high stakes hockey, struggling single parents and smoldering kisses, grab your copy of The Last Guy on Earth.
Somehow I never tire of Sarina Bowen’s hockey romances. The Last Guy On Earth is the third book in her Hockey Guys series of standalones, and it has a little bit of everything for fans of the genre.

It took me forever to get into this story, and—if I’m honest—I’m not sure I ever completely got there. The Unraveling had so much potential.
Good as Gold features a single woman with a planned pregnancy premise—my personal catnip. As an added bonus, it’s part of the True North universe. This series has long held a soft spot in my heart, and I’m always excited to reunite with the Shipley and Rossi families in their small Vermont town.
Sarina Bowen strikes gold again with The New Guy, a M/M hockey romance that is a pure delight from beginning to end.
A Little Too Close is one of those rare books that has conflict without an antagonist. Even without a “bad guy” I stayed interested in the struggles of the main character throughout, and I found this to be an exceptionally enjoyable story.
Will I ever tire of Sarina Bowen’s professional hockey novels? Evidently the answer to that question is no—and I don’t even like hockey. Love Lessons is another welcome addition to the Brooklyn series.
Sarina Bowen continues to expand the Brooklyn pro hockey franchise, and I couldn’t be happier. I am loving the Brooklyn Bombshells women’s team. Shenanigans introduces us to Charli, a Brooklyn Bombshells player. Her story is integrated with one of the stars on the Brooklyn Bruisers men’s team, Neil Drake. It’s like uniting the best of both worlds.
It’s a good day whenever I get to spend time with the Shipleys. Waylaid is the latest book in Sarina Bowen’s True North series, and I’ve been waiting for Daphne Shipley’s story.
Sarina Bowen delivers another hit in her long-running Brooklyn Bruisers/Brooklyn series. Bombshells spins something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue into a delightful sports romance.
