Perhaps my expectations for Thief of Hearts were a tad too high. When I read the synopsis, I had visions of Julia Roberts and George Clooney in Ocean’s Eleven dancing in my head as I envisioned a massive heist/love affair placed in a fine art setting. The book may lack the wow factor I anticipated, but it is still quite charming.
The Sugar Bowl series by Sawyer Bennett has proven to be one intense, mysterious, and sexy trilogy. Sugar Free is the highly anticipated conclusion.
Transfer is the second book in the Retrieval Duet. I couldn’t wait to sink my teeth into this continuation, and hallelujah it’s a juicy one. The story picks up seconds after the plot-twisting, stomach churning cliffhanger at the end of Retrieval and continues to propel readers through an adrenaline rush of a plot.
I’ve had a soft spot for J. Daniels ever since I popped my erotica cherry—if you will—with Sweet Addiction. Yes, her stories are hotter than Hates, but they’re also infused with a healthy dose of comedy. When I heard she was writing a new series, I was more than ready to jump aboard the Dirty Deeds train. Four Letter Word is the first book in the Dirty Deeds series, and it has Daniels’s signature blend of sassiness, sensuality, and humor stamped all over it, but with one added bonus: heart.
When it comes to college sports romances, you don’t get much better than Elle Kennedy’s Off-Campus series. I’ve enjoyed all three previous books, and The Goal is a winning addition to the series. This is Tucker and Sabrina’s story.
Fair warning. This review is probably going to suck because there’s nothing I can say that will adequately convey the way The Silent Waters affected me. I admit I was hesitant to read it. I wasn’t sure I was emotionally prepared for a book whose synopsis clearly states that it’s heartbreaking and tragic. However, I have absolutely no regrets about reading this book other than the fact that I’m now left with a massive book hangover.
Holy crap on a cracker! If you look up “page-turner” in the dictionary, I’m fairly confident Retrieval is one of the definitions. If not, then it should be. This. Book. Is. Effing. Amazing.

Okay, so I may have a teeny tiny huge girl crush on Whitney G. I’ve been waiting on pins and needles for Turbulence to be released, and I must say it’s well worth the wait. Successfully combining erotica and comedy is difficult, but this book proves that Whitney G. is a master at it.

When I found out Jodi Ellen Malpas was writing a standalone I was crazy excited. Factor in the premise of a bodyguard falling for his client, and The Protector was an easy sell for me. Perhaps my expectations were a bit too high, but this wound up being a middle of the road read for me. It wasn’t my favorite, but I didn’t hate it.
Go ahead and call me a skeptic. I read The Pact and The Lie, and I confess I’m in the minority of people who didn’t care for either. I’d all but given up on the McGregor series. You can tell Karina Halle put a great deal of thought and time in developing two amazingly sympathetic characters. When Jessica and Keir meet, it’s surprising how very similar they are. Both are with dealing PTSD—albeit in different ways. Jessica was a victim of a terrorist attack, leaving her physically impaired, so her scars are more visible. However, Keir’s wounds are no less real. In addition, the choices they made in the past have resulted in emotional devastation in the present.
