Audiobook Review: King of Wrath by Ana Huang
I enjoyed King of Wrath. Two warring gangster families, a little blackmail, an arranged marriage, and tons of enemies-turned-lovers chemistry. What’s not to like?

Lucy Score flaunts her dirty birdy side in By a Thread, a grumpy/sunshine, enemies-to-lovers office rom com. It’s warm, funny, hotter than Hades, and I was glued to every entertaining moment.
A Long Time Coming is not just my favorite Cane Brothers book, but–dare I say–my favorite Meghan Quinn book so far, hands down. I’ve got hearts in my eyes, a swoony sway to my body, and a massive smile on my lips to prove it.
The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy is a whimsical romance set in an alternate universe. I don’t read much fantasy, and I certainly had no idea that fantasy romantic comedy was a thing, but apparently it is. This book is quirky, for sure, and I liked it.
I had an itch for a planned pregnancy romance, and The Rake scratched it quite nicely.
Spare is a poignant, fascinating, exceedingly well-written memoir. Prince Harry offers an intimate account of his decades-long struggle with grief following the death of his mother, as well his search for purpose as someone other than the spare to brother Prince William’s heir.
L.J. Shen books have been hit or miss for me recently, but I’m so glad I gave The Villain a chance. It’s one of her better enemies turned lovers stories.
That lump in my throat? I should be used to it by now. It’s an affliction that seems to occur whenever I read one of Colleen Hoover’s books. I went through a dozen lozenges while reading Heart Bones, and it was totally worth it.
Gobble, gobble, gobble. That’s the sound of me eating up Nora Goes Off Script. I loved everything about this feel-good romance.
On the heels of Ali Hazelwood’s breakout hit,The Love Hypothesis, Love on the Brain had a lot to live up to. I’m pleased to say that while I didn’t love it as much, Love on the Brain is still quite enjoyable. I like how Hazelwood portrays women in STEM as quirky and fun. It seems to be her storytelling signature, and it’s right up my alley.
As someone who listens to audiobooks regularly, I was in heaven listening to Thank You for Listening. I mean, does it get any better than an audiobook about an audio narrator who falls for her co-narrator sight unseen? The only thing that could top that was if the book was written and narrated by one of my favorite narrators, Julia Whelan. Mission accomplished!
It is hard to believe that Lessons in Chemistry is Bonnie Garmus’s debut novel. This thoughtful, emotional, and clever story is easily one of the best books I’ve read this year.
