Contains spoilers from the first book. Things are clicking along at a nice pace in part two of this 5-part serial. Frankie is still reeling from her decidedly less than professional encounter with Derek at the end of Unblocked – Episode One. Although Derek is her client, she can’t stop fantasizing about him, so she decides to allow herself a little short term sex-only release.
I’m going to give it to you straight: Feeling Hot is light on substance and extremely heavy on erotica. Some readers may be fine with 100% pure smut, but I need at least a semi-decent story to go along with my smut. This book meets the storyline requirement just fine, but you won’t find any great character development, suspense, or deep issues explored.

Full disclosure: Captor/prisoner stories historically aren’t my thing. The fact that Ruthless King is book one in a trilogy gave me pause. Ultimately, I decided to give it a go (obviously), but I’m still not sure what to think about Meghan March’s foray into dark romance territory.
I’ve heard nothing but good things about this series, and I must say that Beautiful Bastard (book 1) is a highly entertaining read. It’s also one very, very dirty book.
Put a fork in me. I’m done. American King officially slayed me! It is the heart-pounding, breathtaking conclusion to the New Camelot Trilogy. It delivered the fatal blow after pummeling my emotions, but American King just might be my favorite book of the three. As a side note, the trilogy is extremely intricate, with multiple players and cliffhangers galore. For maximum enjoyment, I suggest readers clear their schedules and devote a good chunk of time to reading the three books back to back.
If this book was any longer, I probably wouldn’t have finished it. Admittedly, novellas are tricky to pull off successfully, but it can be done. Guarding His Obsession has three major problems: the story, the writing, and—since I listed to the audiobook—the narration. It’s a losing trifecta.
This book, you guys! Talk about one messed up read. Guess what, though? I enjoyed Do Not Disturb more than the first book, The Girl in 6E. I know, I know. You’re not supposed to like a sociopath like Deanna, but tell it to my foolish heart because I loved every inch of this complicated, dangerous, unstable bad ass woman.
The Girl in 6E is incredibly unique, so props to A.R. Torre (Alessandra Torre’s pseudonym) for creativity alone. Talk about an edgy thriller!
Excuse me while I dunk my entire body in ice water. First things first: heed the author’s warning. Unconventional is beyond steamy; it’s like the Disneyland of erotica. If you’re looking for something extremely dirty to read, you will enjoy this kinky thrill ride. You impatient bad girls out there—and you know who you are—don’t even have to wait until you’re halfway through the book to get to the “good parts.” Things get naughty in chapter one and only heat up from there.
You win some; you lose some. This story never got off the ground for me, and I struggled my way through The Red.
It’s been a few years since I read the original Driven trilogy. K. Bromberg has expanded the series since then, but Colton and Riley remain my favorite couple. Aced is a nice way to fill in the gap between the end of their story and the epilogue.
