A Long Time Coming is not just my favorite Cane Brothers book, but–dare I say–my favorite Meghan Quinn book so far, hands down. I’ve got hearts in my eyes, a swoony sway to my body, and a massive smile on my lips to prove it.
The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy is a whimsical romance set in an alternate universe. I don’t read much fantasy, and I certainly had no idea that fantasy romantic comedy was a thing, but apparently it is. This book is quirky, for sure, and I liked it.
Sarina Bowen strikes gold again with The New Guy, a M/M hockey romance that is a pure delight from beginning to end.
I had an itch for a planned pregnancy romance, and The Rake scratched it quite nicely.
Before Us proves once again that Jewel E. Ann is Queen of the Feels. Evidently, one romance wasn’t enough for her. Instead, there are two completely different but equally breathtaking love stories that entranced me with their tenderness.
Bless you, Marni Mann! The addictive Dalton Brothers series now includes the extended Dalton family. Hannah, the Dalton brothers’ cousin, charmed me in The Single Dad, and I was curious about her antagonistic relationship with her boss. The Intern breaks it all down in an engaging way, with a hefty dose of Mann’s signature sizzling heat.
L.J. Shen books have been hit or miss for me recently, but I’m so glad I gave The Villain a chance. It’s one of her better enemies turned lovers stories.
I’m just going to rip the Band Aid off. I can’t think of one positive thing to say about The Hunter. The plot is meh, but most of my issues have to do with the main character.
Drama King gets the award for Most Entertaining Meet Cute and Most Cuddly Main Character. It’s an all-around fun story, especially for lovers of slow burn romance.
It Starts With Us is Colleen Hoover’s love letter to fans of her wildly popular book, It Ends With Us. She heard the cries of readers who begged to know all the details of Lily and Atlas’s happily ever after, and she answered their calls for a follow-up in spectacular fashion. It Starts With Us picks up immediately after the end of the previous book, and the mood is so much lighter.
Be Your Everything is the second book in the series about the tight-knit D’Angelo family. This book is about Chloe, the “little” sister to two overprotective brothers. It’s a brother’s best friend story, and even though I really liked the first book, I appreciated the lighter tone of this one.
That lump in my throat? I should be used to it by now. It’s an affliction that seems to occur whenever I read one of Colleen Hoover’s books. I went through a dozen lozenges while reading Heart Bones, and it was totally worth it.
