I love Penny Reid’s humor. I love her odd, brilliant heroines. I love the men who dig their quirkiness. I. Loved. This. Book. What a great start to the series! I knew virtually nothing about Motion: Laws of Physics 1 going in, and I highly recommend that approach.
The Winston Brothers series revolves around six bearded brothers who are completely distinctive, wonderfully complicated, and equally endearing. And the award for the sweetest, most sensitive Winston brother goes to Roscoe Winston. In Dr. Strange Beard he gets a chance to pursue his happily ever after.
The Varlet and the Voyeur is the final book in the Rugby series—a collection of romantic comedies written by L.H. Cosway and Penny Reid that are intended to make readers fall in love with a bunch of Irish meatheads and the unique women who redeem them. Their efforts have been successful, by the way.
The Knitting in the City series is officially over (insert ugly cry) and what a sendoff. Marriage of Inconvenience is all kinds of wonderful.
Scenes from the Hallway is a Valentine’s Day freebie. This prequel to Marriage of Inconvenience is a nice little treat. Whether you’ve already read the novel or not, it’s fun to know how Kat and Dan met. The details of what happened between them in Las Vegas puts their relationship status at the beginning of the full-length book more in focus.
Let me cut right to the chase. I. Loved. This. Story. All the books in the Winston Brothers series are highly entertaining, but I think this one might be my favorite. Beard in Mind contains all the humor that I associate with the series; however, at the center is a complexity that is marvelously atypical.
Knitting in the City has fast become one of my favorite romantic comedy series, and Beauty and the Mustache is now one of my favorite books in the series. I started listening to the audio book version when I needed a pick me up, and it delivered in a big way. Joy Nash’s narration is perfection—southern accent and all.
Dear Penny Reid, You can stop trying to dominate my list of favorite authors now. I get it. Your writing is hilarious, smart, effortless, and super romantic. Given your prolific body of work, it’s just not fair to other romantic comedy authors out there. Now you’ve gone and shoved your brilliance in my face once again with Beard Science.
It’s official. I’m in love with the Winston brothers. Like so crazy, madly, deeply in love I’d be willing to go full-on Sister Wives for them. I’m not exactly sure how I went from reading a sweet Rom-Com to considering polygamy, but I blame Penny Reid. Damn her and her ridiculously talented mind, the magnetic and quirky characters she creates, and her clever humor. These attributes are on full display in Grin and Beard It, and it’s all kinds of awesome.
My book funk is a thing of the past thanks to L.H. Cosway and Penny Reid! It’s a day after I finished reading this book and I’m still walking around with a stupid grin on my face. True confession #1: I was in the minority of readers who didn’t love The Hooker and the Hermit, so my expectations for The Player and the Pixie weren’t overly high. True confession #2: Although I knew this book is about Ronan’s little sister getting involved with his archenemy/teammate, I didn’t read the synopsis. Combine #1 and #2 and I found myself unexpectedly enjoying the heck out of this sweet Rom-Com.

Sexy Gandalf, mistaken identity, catastrophic engine failure, and Truth or Dare. Leave it to Penny Reid to whip up such a delightful combination in Truth or Beard. Right from the start, she had me in the palm of her creative and whimsical little hands.
