Say You Want Me was a perfectly fine, middle of the road read for me.
You need to be in the mood to escape in order to enjoy this story because some of it is unrealistic. In a heartbeat, Wyatt goes from being adamant that he’s not the father of Angie’s baby to wanting to marry her. I thought Angie’s rules about not having sex and no kissing were rather silly. Wyatt knocked her up, for goodness sakes, so they are obviously attracted to each other. Once they cleared up a previous misunderstanding, it seemed pointless to abstain from a physical relationship.
Some of the lines are a little cheesy, but I enjoyed the dramatic mood of the last third of the book. The bulk of the story is told from Angie’s perspective. I would have appreciated more chapters from Wyatt’s point of view.
Sophie Eastlake and Zachary Webber are expressive narrators. They enhance the story and make the audiobook enjoyable as a whole.
