Review: Things We Never Got Over by Lucy Score
Could this book be more delightful? And funny! Things We Never Got Over left me with nothing but good vibes and a massive smile.

We’ve come to the end of the Wallflowers series with a delightful story about Daisy Bowman, the American soap heiress and younger sister of Lillian. I loved every petite inch of the rebellious, romantic bookworm.
In writing The Worst Guy, I truly think Kate Canterbary said, “I’m going to give you two of the most complicated, messiest characters I can imagine and make you fall in love with them.” If so, mission accomplished. I could not get enough of Sara and Sebastian.
It Happened One Summer is reminiscent of the tv show Schitt’s Creek, only this book is more heartwarming in my humble opinion.
I was pleasantly surprised by this absorbing new adult romance.
Gah! I loved this book so much! A Not So Meet Cute just may be my favorite Meghan Quinn book so far. It’s a hilarious enemies-to-lovers fake relationship story with a delicious slow burn and an uber hot payoff. I read it straight through.
The Soulmate Equation is surprisingly cute. I was afraid the book might spend too much time on scientific details, but it’s just the right amount. The relationships between the characters are what really interested me.
I read the third book in the series before reading this first book. Oh well. I enjoyed Secrets of a Summer Night immensely anyway and read it in one sitting.
Exposed is another feather in Kristen Callihan’s cap. It’s the fourth book in her rock star romance series, and it well and truly satisfied my craving for more. We’re not only reunited with all the band members of Kill John and their significant others, but we get a love story for Rye, the bassist.
The Devil Wears Black is an enemies to lovers romantic comedy that is miles away from L.J. Shen’s norm, and it’s a welcome surprise. This author is an expert when it comes to addictive enemies turned lovers stories. She has a special knack for creating truly despicable, horrible antiheroes that are easy to hate and, astonishingly enough, most of the time I reluctantly grow to love them. When all is said and done, her tales are angst fests that leave this drama queen exhausted and satisfied. I have never ever EVER known her to write anything remotely lighthearted. Until now. Even the cover is playful. I mean, how cute is this?
It’s been years since I read Wallbanger. It’s one of my favorite books by Alice Clayton, and I can’t believe my review has been hanging out on Goodreads and I never posted it, or my review for the follow-up, Rusty Nailed, on the blog. I’m correcting this travesty immediately. So, without further ado, I present my review from five years ago!
After the longest dry spell, I finally found the perfect book for me at just the right time. I swear the planets aligned and angels sang. I could not sleep until I finished The Simple Wild, and when I reached the end at 4:30 am I had the goofiest smile on my face.
