By the end of this book I was channeling my inner Whitney Houston à la The Bodyguard and belting out, “And i-e-i will always love-you-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-i will always love you.” I fell hard for bodyguard Logan St. James. He totally kicks Kevin Costner’s ass!
I finished The Knocked Up Plan hours ago and I’m still smiling! I consider myself to be a bit of a romantic comedy connoisseur, and this book has all the necessary elements to make it extraordinarily entertaining:
Long story short, Penny Reid has managed to enthrall me once again. Dating-ish comes armed with an adorkable couple, a tight-knit circle of friends (See what I did there?), and an abundance of romantic comedy charm.
Shacking Up is the first book I’ve read by Helena Hunting, and I picked a good one to start of with.
Knitting in the City has fast become one of my favorite romantic comedy series, and Beauty and the Mustache is now one of my favorite books in the series. I started listening to the audio book version when I needed a pick me up, and it delivered in a big way. Joy Nash’s narration is perfection—southern accent and all.
Bold, witty, sexy, and irreverent, Sandra has always been my favorite lady in the knitting circle. Well, she might be tied with Janie. Love Hacked is the third book in the Knitting in the City series, and this time around it’s Sandra’s turn to find romance.
I swear. The Rugby series by L.H. Cosway and Penny Reid just keeps getting better and more enjoyable. My heart is doing a little happy dance after reading The Cad and the Co-Ed.
All hail Queen Emma! I swear, I don’t think Emma Chase is capable of writing a bad book, and Royally Matched was pure joy for me to read from the first page to the last.
Penny Reid is known for her witty romances. It’s what drew me to her work initially and keeps me coming back for more. Her Knitting in the City series is an excellent example of her clever storytelling. Each book details the life of one of the ladies in an eccentric knitting group. While quite enjoyable, Friends Without Benefits lacks some of the whimsical spirit I anticipated.
I’m reading this series completely out of order, but I still really enjoyed Wrong. Give me a hot doctor romance and I’ll lap it up.
I’m trying to remember the last time I laughed this hard while reading a book, and I’m coming up empty. I bought the Kindle version and then added on Audible for $1.99 (well worth the price, in my opinion) so I could listen while driving. I had to keep a travel pack of tissues in the car because I had tears rolling all down my face and whatnot from laughing. I’m amazed I didn’t crash. So yeah. Neanderthal Marries Human is another notch in Penny Reid’s belt of winning smart romantic comedies.
Emma Chase is an auto buy author for me anyway, but when I heard she was writing a brand new series, I felt a rush of excitement as I 1-clicked. Royally Screwed is the charming first book in the Royally series.
