Two years will change them forever.

When rumors spread like wildfire—like having three-ways with her boyfriend’s rock climbing brother—Lily Calloway spirals into a dark place. Her bedroom. Loren Hale is more confident and determined to keep their sex life private, even from their friends, and he helps Lily in the only way he knows how. But how much love is too much?

Their lives are filmed, watched, and criticized. And through it all, Lily and Loren have to face enemies they never thought they’d see, demons they don’t know if they should bury, and setbacks they didn’t think they’d meet. Not this soon.

And one rumor could be too much for them to handle. It will test their greatest limitations, and if they don’t hold onto each other, someone is going to drown.

A full-length New Adult Romance that bridges the gap between the second and third books. <b Thrive must be read before Addicted After All if you have not read the Calloway Sisters spin-off series.

Thrive is a full-length companion novel to the Addicted and Calloway Sisters series. I have a feeling I would have enjoyed it more had I read it in the suggested order. As it is, I skipped this one when I devoured the entire series a year ago, and since I was missing the characters I decided to go back and read this book.

Although it was nice to have Lo and Lily’s points of view regarding events that unfold in other books, it’s not nearly as satisfying and the in depth plot exploration found elsewhere. It’s more like a snack, with the authors picking up little plot morsels here and there and giving Lily and Lo a chance to reflect on them. There is a sense of repetition; however, there are several previously unwritten scenes between the couple that I quite enjoyed.

The writing is without fault, and because all the characters in this series are utterly compelling, I’m always interested in reading anything they might say or do. That said, I don’t feel like this book drastically added to my enjoyment of the series as a whole. Diehard fans may appreciate eeking out more moments with one of their favorite couples, though, and Erin Mallon and Charles Carr’s narration certainly make it well worth your time.

A note about the series:
Krista and Becca Ritchie have recommended reading the Addicted series and the Calloway Sisters series in tandem for optimum enjoyment. This way you can seamlessly follow the timeline of events. You can enjoy the series separately, but here is the suggested reading order:

  1. Addicted to You (Addicted)
  2. Ricochet (Addicted)
  3. Addicted for Now (Addicted)
  4. Kiss the Sky (Calloway Sisters)
  5. Hothouse Flower (Calloway Sisters)
  6. Thrive (Addicted)
  7. Addicted After All (Addicted)
  8. Fuel the Fire (Calloway Sisters)
  9. Long Way Down (Calloway Sisters)
three-half-stars

I would probably skip to every Connor scene – my one true LOVE!!! I admit I haven’t read all of Lily and Loren’s books, I started with Rose and Connor and never looked back.
