It was just another day in the Emergency Department -- until she was wheeled in through the doors.
Amanda Parks, my childhood best friend's mom who I may or may not have secretly kissed before leaving for college.
I haven't seen her in over a decade, and in so many ways, she hasn't changed.
Same killer curves.
Same hypnotizing eyes.
Same reaction from my heart when I see her.But something new?
There isn't a ring on her finger anymore...
And I'm much more of a man than I was at eighteen.Washed Up is a stand-alone age gap medical romance coming this winter!
Washed Up is an enjoyable romance where the age gap is a significant one—Amanda is 12 years older than Greg. While her confidence is severely bruised thanks to her abusive soon-to-be ex-husband, she doesn’t wallow in self-pity, and she doesn’t concern herself with what other people might think about their age difference. Instead, the emphasis is on building their connection and Amanda’s growth as she starts a new chapter of her life. She’s mainly concerned with how her son will react to her dating his good friend.
Greg is the complete package: understanding, fun, and romantic. He is also a successful anesthesiologist, so he’s got that hot doc thing going for him. I enjoyed seeing Amanda discover her playful side while she and Greg tick off items on their bucket list. There’s good chemistry between the two of them, and I like how Amanda grows more sure of herself as she explores her sexuality.
I wasn’t a huge fan of Amanda’s son, mostly because he is insensitive in the way he handles the relationship between Amanda and her ex. I liked the other secondary characters, even though they could have been more distinct. I’m sure they will become more developed in future books in this series.
All in all, Washed Up is a sweet story that has just the right balance of romance and conflict.

I totally get what you mean about her son. That was kind of frustrating. This was pretty cute, but heavier than I was expecting. Great review.
