Brenna

There are some people in life who know exactly how to push your buttons. For me, it’s Rye Peterson. We can’t spend more than ten minutes together before we’re at each other’s throats, which makes working together that much harder. Rye is the bassist for Kill John, the biggest rock band in the world, and I am his publicist. It doesn’t help that the man is gorgeous, funny, talented, and…never takes anything seriously. Avoidance is key.

But everything changes when he overhears something he shouldn’t: a confession made in a moment of weakness. Now the man I’ve tried so hard to ignore is offering me the greatest temptation of all—him.

Rye

Brenna James is the one. The one I can’t have. The one I can’t get out of my mind. Believe me, I’ve tried; the woman loathes me. I managed well enough—until I heard her say she’s as lonely as I am. That she needed to be touched, held, satisfied. And I could no longer deny the truth: I wanted to be the one to give her what she craved.

I convinced her that it would just be sex, mutual satisfaction with nothing deeper. But the moment I have her, she becomes my world. I’ve never given her a good reason to trust me before. Now, I’ve got to show Brenna that we’re so much better together than we ever were apart.

Things are going to get messy. But getting messy with Brenna is what I do best.

Exposed is another feather in Kristen Callihan’s cap. It’s the fourth book in her rock star romance series, and it well and truly satisfied my craving for more. We’re not only reunited with all the band members of Kill John and their significant others, but we get a  love story for Rye, the bassist.

Blog Tour, Review & Excerpt: Fall by Kristen Callihan

Blog Tour, Review & Excerpt: Fall by Kristen Callihan

October 25, 2018 Angela Blog Tours, Excerpts, Reviews, Romance

Fall is the third book in Kristen Callihan’s addictive rock star romance series, VIP, and let’s just say I was more than a little excited to read Jax’s story. Each book in the series is a standalone, but I highly suggest you read the previous books first. Jax has an important back story that alters the dynamics of the band Kill John, and I think you lose some of the impact if you skip those books.

Review: Managed by Kristen Callihan

I just finished Managed and I swear I want to start over and read it again. It exceeded my expectations on every level. With a clever story, witty dialog, and winsome characters, I had a perma-smile on my face the entire time I was reading. I have the stretch marks on my cheeks as proof.

Review & Excerpt: Idol by Kristen Callihan

Review & Excerpt: Idol by Kristen Callihan

Idol definitely satisfied by rock star romance craving. The typical formula for this trope goes something like this. A rock god lives a life filled with tons of groupie sex. He meets the one woman who won’t jump into bed with him which makes him want her even more. Once they hook up, he’s reformed and becomes a one-woman man. Regardless of its predictability, it’s a setup that works for me. Idol enhances that theme and it’s a nice variation.

I feel like I hit the jackpot with this book. I bought it because I heard it was a good college romance and I was in the mood for a light read. What I wound up with was the Swiss Army knife of books: humor, banter, sports, steamy sexy times, a little angst, and the feels – oh, the feels! – all rolled into one. This book has it all, and the superb writing captured my attention from the very first page.
