Join Jake & Chelsea, Stanton & Sofia, Brent & Kennedy as they navigate the hilarious and heartwarming hurdles of love, life and the law in this final addition to the Legal Briefs Series.

There was a time when Jake Becker had it all together. He was controlled, driven, ruthless—in and out of the courtroom.

Then, six irresistible orphans and their heartbreakingly beautiful aunt crashed into his perfectly ordered life. They changed everything. They changed him. Now he’s a husband, an upstanding member of society, a father figure—a family man. And he’s pretty damn good at it.

Sure, he has to referee sibling smackdowns, re-learn algebra, ensure his clients stay of jail, and keep his wife happy—but it finally feels like he’s got it together again....So, of course something has to screw it all up.

It’s huge. Life-changing. Kind of terrifying.

And it will be the most amazing, perfect thing he’ll ever do.

If Romantic Comedy were a land of monarchy, Emma Chase would be firmly seated on the throne. I fell in love with her Tangled series, and Drew Evans became my ultimate book boyfriend. Then along came the Legal Briefs series. The entire series is charming, but I crowned Sustained my Favorite Romantic Comedy of All-Time and—almost impossibly—Drew had to step aside because he proved to be no competition for Jake Becker. Jake, Chelsea, and the six McQuaid nieces and nephews completely stole my heart. Basically, what I’m getting at is if you haven’t read this series, you’re seriously missing out. Read More

October 20, 2015 Angela New Adult, Reviews, Sports Romance

I feel like I hit the jackpot with this book. I bought it because I heard it was a good college romance and I was in the mood for a light read. What I wound up with was the Swiss Army knife of books: humor, banter, sports, steamy sexy times, a little angst, and the feels – oh, the feels! – all rolled into one. This book has it all, and the superb writing captured my attention from the very first page.

Review: The Deal by Elle Kennedy

Review: The Deal by Elle Kennedy

If you read the book description you can pretty much predict the plot of The Deal, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying every bit of Hannah and Garrett’s journey toward their Happily Ever After. It was so easy to connect with both Hannah and Garrett that I couldn’t help but fall in love with them. As a couple, their chemistry was off the charts. The hilarious verbal sparring and surprisingly touching moments between the two helped elevate this simple enemies-to-lovers story. The Deal is funny and sweet, with a bit more steamy sexy times than your average New Adult novel. What was meant to be a quick weekend read turned into one of my favorite romances of 2015.
